@betterlate1 Reputation is a reliability score that is inherent in this board. When one is new one is limited because they don't want crazy people swooping in and posting all kinds of nonsense. One garners reputation points when another person, perhaps such as yourself whom I may have helped, clicks the "upvote" button to acknowledge the comment and show that it's helpful, useful, etc. It's a courtesy as well because if a person's taking the time for a complete stranger to help them, the least the stranger can do is acknowledge it in that small way. Kind of an Internet courtesy.

RE: Recommend addition/removal of words
@Paulo-Pereira Understand that the app developers don't define/determine word lists. There are associations who determine that. I often see people blaming these guys for words they don't like, but they have nothing to do with that information.

RE: Is this person nuts?
@betterlate1-0 Just a thought - if you want to contribute to a conversation, why don't you, you know, actually contribute? I asked some specific questions (which I read) and you have zero input on them. Take a look at my original post, look at the questions again and why don't you provide your two cents rather than get into all this other nonsense? Just curious if you're able to do that. I can see why you have been downvoted so many times. But do what you want ,I'm sure you will think I'm attacking you.

RE: I'll Volunteer
@betterlate1-0 I doubt you are open to any other's opinion, especially if it's a stranger who disagrees with you, but I'm going to disagree. Human interaction is largely Democratic. If everybody says you are a jackass, you may be a jackass. I'm not saying you're a jackass but what you need to do is dial in to what others are saying because you can improve yourself and benefit if you are sensitive to others. Anybody can walk around with their head in the sand and say, "It's not me it's them," but the wiser person listens to what others say and suggest. Frankly I have seen your interactions and engaged with you and find them to be hostile and unnecessarily argumentative at times. Even your last response shows it - the first word you state is" No. " I think the point is you don't realize how you come off and if you take a few minutes and think about yourself rather than simply accuse others of being bullies or attacking you, what you have said to me in fact, I honestly think you would have a better outlook on life. Maybe others are picking on you - but why? Have you ever met any of these people? If not, it's the words that you have chosen to garner these sentiments. If it was just one person I would tend to agree with you but it's a lot of people. You have to acknowledge that you are causing this to some extent. It takes two to tango . Just my two cents, ignore me if you want I really don't care. And this is not an attack this is a legitimate perspective from a sensitive, thinking and considerate human being (who isn't always right).

Sound still turns off
Please make board settings 'remember' themselves. I have to turn on the sound every time and it's annoying.

A Couple of Suggestions
The countdown clock in the new live rooms is so distracting and ANNOYING. I lost a game because I couldn't figure out what that was and why. Really a dumb addition. It was fine in the old room (10 seconds to go) so why make a countdown clock?
My second gripe is how the right-click doesn't undo the tiles on the board, IT MOVES THE SCREEN BACK A PAGE. Fortunately forward got me back into the game but this is something that worked fine for a decade, and now it's different. Is the non-flash version limited this way>
Finally, the adds are really bad. While I was trying to play this Florsheim shoe ad was popping in my face. Really annoying. And The add on this page is even blocking what I am writing so if there are typos, you know why. Big banner in the view blocking what I am trying to type.

RE: I'll Volunteer
@betterlate1-0 "Running back and forth"? Is somebody persecuting you?
I have to say I do find it amusing (and a little paranoid) if you think I'm "running back and forth" between different profiles just to torment you. I'm regretting wasting any time giving you some of my insights much less creating a second profile and doing that. Who has time for that?
Again I urge you just to consider what I've said earlier rather than argue with me. Because I can tell you you are 100% wrong and if anyone is 100% wrong, something is off.
Anyway, I tried. Good luck -
RE: Losing a game without taking a turn with someone I've never played initiates a game with 7 letters?
@stephanie-schmitt Yes, resigning counts as a loss, deleting the game doesn't. And you can only delete a game after the first move. One a second player moves, there's no more delete game option.
But it kind of serves you right, just because your opponent starts well shouldn't be a reason for you to run away. Play the game like an adult. If you ended up winning you'd be proud of yourself (instead of whining about it here). Sorry for being harsh, but not really that sorry. -
RE: Sound still turns off
@thatguythere202 last time I played which was a few days ago it wasn't. But I will try again later today on my browser to see. And yes thank you Lexulous for the hard work!

@jellystone1 @jellystone1 I don't see her as that, but in any case, it looks like she's banned.

Black Cross?
@Lexulous I had mentioned this earlier in the year about the black cross in the center square (and how I thought it was ugly). I am pleased to notice recently that this can be changed now - some clever choices - a ghost, a kitty, a dog. Very nice, thank you!

RE: ** Lex site hacked **
That isn't necessarily a hacking offensive - someone created a profile and used a website as their icon. Nothing nefarious there.

RE: hacking
@terrijay You might not realize this, and that's okay, but a normal person would say thank you for taking the time to try to explain. But I'll get over that, the internet brings in the worst in people and who knows? maybe you are even worse than that anyway. One thing that I will mention however is that I'm pretty sure you're wrong it was a challenge game where neither player challenged. Look at the Moves List. What other logical or even illogical, explanation is there?

RE: Dictionary / Word List Choices
@alison-cunningham When you set up a game, you can select the dictionary. When you join the game, don't join any games that are being hosted with a dictionary you don't want (i.e., Fr, US, It.).
