There's a thread called 'Reputation scores' in the 'Feature' requests which got me thinking about how we are often given the opportunity to vote on other people's comments on the internet.
Maybe one day, when we are all interconnected with implants, systems like Lexulous Reputation points will affect us in real life. Others will vote us up or down, depending as we do good deeds or selfish ones. This will, in turn, affect our position/status in society eg job offers.
We are an interdependent species, every action affects others and has done so for centuries. We are clearly evolving towards some sort of hive mind and technology will be the enabler.
