It used to be that you could delete a game before four moves were played. That no longer exists? Why? Someone started a game with me that was using the French dictionary. I don't know how this could have happened but I realized it too late to delete the game and had to resign it. So, thanks, Lexulous, for doing away with a useful feature 😠

@Paulo-Pereira Sometime in August 2019 the limit was revised to 2 moves instead of 4.

@Paulo-Pereira You can check the dictionary before playing the first turn?

@lexulous The only way I can check is to see the list of 2-letter words. Seems inconvenient—and inefficient—to me.

@Paulo-Pereira Got it, we'll improve the display.

@pangloss said in Deleting a Game vs. Resigning:

it's now down to one move - after two moves, the game cannot be deleted. I think it should be changed to no deletion after three or more moves

it's presently down to one maneuver - after two actions, the game can't be erased. I figure it ought to be changed to no erasure after at least three maneuvers(acrepairdubai.ae)

@umair123 I wish we had a "pause" option where both opps agree to continue playing later. I've had to resign three games because of phone calls.

@pangloss You're right. The Scrabulous days had that feature, come to think of it. Maybe too many paused games went unresolved?
