Sometimes I like to save the chats for my own records, and also post active links as is allowed in apps like Messenger. Currently these features aren't enabled.

@strangerthan I asked them some weeks ago to enable the copying of chat text like in the previous version. Sometimes people post a relevant link (e.g. on-topic stuff, a nice song etc, not spam), or other interesting information. It's another minor frustration and change for the worse (like the arrow timeout thing etc) but they all add up. I wonder how many of these suggestions are actually getting passed on, let alone acted upon.
