Section 80g of the Income Tax Act provides tax deduction to the donors who contribute towards well-known charitable organizations in India. The provision promotes national charity as contributions to eligible donations can be deducted at a rate of 50 % or 100 %. To offer tax receipts, registered ngos have to attain 12a and get established under 80g. The new regulations require renewal and disclosure of work regularly to guarantee the actual utilization of money towards the social progress of the nation as a whole.
