The Handicap Game Facility would only be appropriate when the two players know each other and hence their relative strengths. It would be particularly useful for helping keen players to introduce their children (or indeed their own parents!) to the game.

This would be a good method to get an exciting game between two players of different ability.
A technique widely used in competitive 1 vs 1 sports (eg. squash)
The stronger player would start on a negative score, whatever value they think would give both players a chance of winning
