plastic pigments, known as PY3 in its pure form, is a very popular pigment. It’s also one of many shades of PY pigments, which are synthetic versions of phthalocyanine green pigments. Pigment green has been on our radar for a long time. In fact, we first reported about it way back in 2012 . Despite being in use since at least 1960 , pigment green has remained popular due to its lightfastness and high heat stability. However, getting your hands on pigment green can be difficult —it’s banned from being sold as an artist pigment in both Japan and Korea—but luckily there are many different substitutes you can use instead.
