I'd like to try

I have been inviting a friend who I was playing with in Scrabble game but nothing happens, I gave her my id # and she cannot play with me either. Any tips? another friend came in with no problem.
They offer me to play with a friend who died 3 years ago, but I cant play with one that's alive??? weird.
