Phthalocyanine is a blue-to-green chemical compound used in organophosphorus chemistry as a ligand, it is also known as copper phthalocyanine. The largest manufacturer of phthalocyanine pigments worldwide is Hoechst AG in Germany. It produces more than half of the world’s supply of copper phthalocyanine pigment.
