Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya stands as a beacon of women’s education and empowerment in North India. Founded in 1927 in Lahore by Mahatma Hans Raj Ji, a staunch advocate of the DAV Movement, the institution has, over its 98-year history, evolved into a premier college committed to delivering value-based, employment-oriented education to women. After the partition in 1948, the institution was relocated to Jalandhar, where it continued its mission of empowering women through education. The core block, inaugurated by Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, then Vice President of India, in 1959.
