Dear Lexulous;

I think many people would like to see the feature return where you can accept or decline a player to the game you are hosting. I know the topic has been brought up previously, but I see a new trend starting - someone joins someone's game, the person who joined plays first and makes a bingo on the first turn. Now the host won't take their turn (out of poor sportsmanship), and the game is automatically deleted. Then the host immediately posts another game, meaning they weren't just away from their screen. This obviously wasn't the original intent. A game being deleted because one player didn't make a turn could go away if the host HAD to accept a player. If they accept the player, that means they are in front of their computer. Also, we could decline people who we just simply don't want to join our game without having to censor them. Some people are friendly in the lobby, but don't want to be forced to play each other.

Also - for partners games, the general courtesy is that returning players get first dibs at the next game. Now, because we can't accept or decline people to our game, the host has no control over who joins the partner games. This allows for riff raffs to jump into the new game (even though they know better) and just say "this is how it is now". It's a rude act by the player, but could be avoided if the host of the game could accept or decline players who try to join.

@betterlate1-0 The fact of the matter is, a sheep's wool is harder to control after 3 or more years of syrup. Sometimes, it is true that, people can jump without feet - even though a certain expectation is considered irrelevant. But fortunately, for all of us, whenever there is a a hint of a shadow, broccoli can be the best solution.

@thatguythere202 omg preach on!! we need this back. This way we don't have to censor people that we actually speak to in the lobby, but don't like playing with. Sometimes there are players I just simply don't want to play, so I don't accept their games and just pretend I was away from computer when they tried to join. I'm like, "omg, I was letting the dog out", or "wow sorry, had to take a quick call when you tried to join" or something. When in reality, I just don't like playing them, but don't want to hurt their feelings. Many people on here are overly sensitive to being rejected. But I digress... yes would love to see the return of this feature. Thanks to the awesome Lexulous admins on all their work and dedication to making Lexulous The PREMIER online word game site!! 🤟

When a player challenges you to a game, is there a way to know how long the game is? I have not figured out how to determine the time of the game when challenged. I just end up declining everyone who challenges because I don't want to get stuck in a long game.

yes... i am so used to the backspace button removing tiles from the board and putting them back in my rack. This is extremely helpful - especially for those of us who like to play fast games. I would love to see the backspace undo the letters typed onto the board again. Thank you!!

Yes Please Raj & Jay, are you guys aware of the bots someone created in the lobby? I assume the same person is responsible for permanently muting terrijay and others. Are you able to fix it?

@gardenern Completely agree! It's a very distracting sound, and sometimes people refresh over and over again. Before, there was a line of red text in the lobby when a friend arrived, no noise. I think this would be perfect!!

@thatguythere202 actually, you are right, there was a faint 'ding' noise when friends arrived... but it wasn't distracting while playing. The noise now sounds kind of like the old noise that lex made when you got disconnected. So my guess is for us players that have been here a while, when a friend arrives, it's more distracting because the sound is reminiscent of being booted. Maybe we just need a new sound. idk

As you probably know, it is considered very rude if you don't say "ggty" after a game ends. There used to be a chat box after games before, but now there isn't. Will this feature be coming back? The considerate players really like this option as it feels cold and sterile after a game ends now and there isn't the ability to thank your opponent for a good game.

omg, was it betty? betty used to accuse me of somehow causing her computer to do weird things during games, which is obviously a ridiculous accusation. And somehow, it was only in games that I won against her .
