On this walking tour we will learn about the history of the capital, the Norwegian monarchy and its independence in 1905. We will visit the Royal Palace, the official residence of the kings of Norway in Oslo, built in the 19th century, between 1823 and 1848; the City Hall, the political and administrative seat of the Norwegian capital, one of the most emblematic buildings of the capital and the place where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded every year; the Parliament (Storting), inaugurated on March 5, 1866 and seat of the Norwegian National Assembly, a place that deserves a visit and enjoy its surroundings, full of gardens with beautiful flowers; and the main street, Karl Johans gate, which offers great panoramic views with the palace in the background.
