Apart from my wonderful Mum, who told me bedtime stories and enabled me to read before I started school, I would like to credit poet PAM AYRES as the woman who inspired me from the age of 10 to appreciate and to write poetry. Pam won the UK talent show “Opportunity Knocks” 3 weeks in a row in the mid-70s with her unique humorous style, and she went on to a successful career as a world-famous poet, author, radio presenter, TV voiceover artist, and stage performer. She is an advocate for animal welfare, in particular the National Hedgehog Preservation Society. Brava, Pam!
