Play button unresponsive on final move

Sorry Dan, Again not working for me . Was for a while. Would also be nice to keep the game settings instead of having to change them almost after every game because someone is doing something they should not be. I have 5 min settings and after particular players I have 10 /5 min games but I changed nothing but i can tell when they change.

@betterlate1-0 Yeah, just became unresponsive for me again when I had two tiles left. Couldn't play and timed out. Seems to coincide with not having much time left. Seems to lock up sometimes during last 30 secs or so. I'll see if it happens when I have plenty of time left.
Update: happened again when I had five minutes left, so not a time issue. Opponent passed, couldn't play my final tile to win, so I was forced to pass. Then 'game ended as both players passed turn'. So got win in the end, just a strange way to do it. They have to sort these basics out before giving us our regular rating back.

@dan-mitchell It happened to me too, I was 200 points ahead and COULD NOT place the winning tiles I think I timed out in the end

@wildest40 Seems to be a bit of a lottery as to whether you'll be able to submit final move to wrap game up. Hope they're looking into this.

does pressing enter key on your keyboard work? Can you try that next time you face this problem and let us know. Thanks.

@lexulous When this problem arises, pressing enter/return doesn't work. I stated this in my first post, if you'd taken the time to read it. I'm unable to submit the move using any method. Consider topic title changed to 'Unable to submit final move' as I can't edit title.

@lexulous Just happened to me--final tile for a tie. Refreshing does nothing. Maybe 'reload?'
Also possibly losing a game for being unable to place JO-ZO with J on a triple. ZO recognized by both US and UK Scrabble dictionaries but not here? -
This issue is now resolved. Thank you to everyone for writing in. Do share a screenshot if you continue to face the problem. We were able to track it quickly thanks to being able to locate @flea10009 's game.

@lexulous the button seems to work but now seems the spot to hit enter has gotten smaller. It takes longer to find the right spot. Appears that someone figured where to hit enter but had a small finger

@betterlate1-0 spot to hit seems to have grown thank you..now short of tying players up and throwing them away,how do we stop settings from changing..

this may be an old topic, but i want to chime in and say that it is NOT working fine, at least for me, in V2, using Firefox as the base browser.
- rematch = yes, use same parameters = yes
- Screen changes and appears to be processing commands but hangs.
- Escape key ends the hang.
- Screen refresh returns to the finished game.
- But......new rematch game is now ready to play when I get to it.
editorial comment -- much more complicated than necessary.

@jrp32 I do get this experience (hanging on rematch), but less than half the time. Usually it works OK, though I still think they haven't fixed the thing where the person who requests the rematch is always the first to move in the new game.
I've been guessing that the times it "hangs" involve opponents who are playing via the mobile app, or possibly people who left before they could receive my request? Maybe not. Maybe it's just broken.
