Not sure if "PASS" still is a non-confirmation, but if so it should be a toggle option under the "gear" options along with "Move Confirmation" (which is already there).

RE: 2021 New Format
@lexulous, AND, when the play button turns green, it also has a colored edge on the right, which, when clicked, shows the word-to-be-played "strength" as a percentage. IOW, 100% is the best possible play determined and less than a 100%, not so much.

"Eye Dialect" used in word def.
I am using V2 of Lex on a desktop computer. The Lex word definitions of the words used in each game appear below the game display itself. Often the definition will begin with the words "Eye Dialect". After looking at that a couple of years, i decided to look it up:

Just a "Thank You"
This note is just a thank you for making the BACKSPACE key act in a Lexulous manner when placing tiles instead of an OS manner.

@thatguythere202 A bit lower in pitch than intended?

RE: 2021 New Format
@shaggydogswerve, i was caught once by the no confirmation "pass". I guess it was sloppy mousery on my part. (But i think it should have a confirm on it._)

two things that still do not work
the "v2" is being whipped into shape but there are still things that do not work as expected or advertised. Two are --
- clicking on "see more completed games" goes to stats.
- the BACKSPACE key has no program override and respects the browser default of moving within the tab to the previous tab of that position.

RE: Word to be added to your list
@dan-mitchell, I think that the CSW19(Collin's Scrabble Words) is filled with contrived words and words that were originally not in SOWPODS because it claimed to forbid words by shortening, acronyms and slang and did a reasonable, if not complete, job of that. By contrived words, i mean words that are "made up" with the sole purpose of advancing play in word games. Where ZEN used to be used as an example of what were not playable words in SOWPODS, it is now a part of CSW19. ZE was recently added to CSW19 and I feel it is a just a matter of time before we see a two letter "V" word. Too many words of CSW19, show in the Collin's dictionary as "no definition
found".
I am still back with the TWL98+(and previous and successive issues of TWL --"The Word List") for US Scrabble and SOWPODS for British tournament play. -
RE: Lesser known "musical" words !!
@taposi, a new one (to me) i came across the other day was in musical structure and was DECRESCENDO.

first casualty of new rules --

RE: Don't know why players block me. I play a fair game. What...?
@jan5 I don't block those people who do not reply to a simple "Hello". I just drop them as players. Since i started playing online i feel that there are some people who view their opponent as just one more peripheral unit to their computing device instead of real people, like themselves.

RE: Center tile option for Halloween season
I looked at the center tile options to see if the star had been added. That's when i saw the ghost.
Later, after i posted, i kinda figured it might have been there a long time. it really looks like a little pac-man gremlin....
"The management" did seem more attentive a while back.

Center tile option for Halloween season
Looking for a way to turn off the bingo confetti in settings, I noticed a new icon for the center tile -- see below

RE: Option to disable new bingo animation
@thatguythere202 I should have read what had been recently requested before i made my post. It was kind of fun about 2 times, but got old fast....

RE: Validity?
@dan, not exactly, you will notice that the word with that message in my example to mapmakre is "LIONHEAD" I just happen to have known that one for years -- it's a cichlid, or goldfish variety. Also in my original message, i referred to "an aggregate of dictionaries". That is in light blue (i think) and contains a link to an aggregate of about 400 (i last saw) general and specialty dictionaries. Searching for the word, that aggregate points to numerous (about 6) dictionaries with entries for Lionhead. What the message most often seems to mean is that the Collins doesn't have the word defined.

Validity?
Since there is no category that I see for commentary I guess this category will do as well as any. I suppose that many of the people who play word games are logophiles like myself. So, this is for those of you using V2 and getting the definitions of accepted words as a trailer to your screen of the game you are on. When, instead of a definition you just get a notice of "- This word is acceptable for play in the US & UK dictionaries." or similar wording do you have a specific thought on that, before you look for the word in an aggregate of dictionaries? What is your thought?

RE: Why does session timeout so quickly?
@thatguythere202 said in Why does session timeout so quickly?:
"it does seem that logging in again is taking longer"
It is. That is the main reason why having to relog in has become annoying to me. it used to be just a click and it was done. Now it is 10 or more seconds......
