I thought I'd take the time to recommend a cool game. Don't worry, it's not a competitor to Lexulous. It's basically one puzzle a day you have to solve. You get 6 tries to find an unknown 5 letter word (must be a valid word). Same word for everybody.

    These are the basic rules:

    9a9ffa67-164a-4387-adf3-26c10ef36846-image.png

This is what the initial game board looks like:

    0a909db2-aae7-47c2-858e-bbd206b153f1-image.png

This was my first attempt yesterday. I got it on the sixth try and the word was 'TIGER':

    403123e6-0930-42ac-8696-7f441e001147-image.png

Today's new puzzle is up for a few more hours. I somehow got it on the fourth try but won't spoil it for others.

You can also share your results without spoilers. This was mine yesterday:

    Wordle 200 6/6
    ⬛⬛⬛🟩⬛
    ⬛🟩⬛🟩⬛
    ⬛🟩⬛🟩🟩
    ⬛🟩⬛🟩🟩
    🟨🟩⬛🟩🟩
    🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

    And today:

    Wordle 201 4/6
    🟨🟨⬛⬛⬛
    ⬛⬛🟩⬛⬛
    🟩🟩🟩⬛⬛
    🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

The site is: https://www.powerlanguage.co.uk/wordle/ (there's also an app).

You can also read more about it here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-59881512

And no, I'm not affiliated with it. I just thought it was a cool idea. Give it a shot.

@dan thanks for the pointers. I had seen a few mentions of this on social media but was unsure what it was all about!

        @dan
"The creator Josh Wardle told the BBC Radio 4's Today programme that he never intended for it to go viral and wants to maintain its simplicity.

The game is available online through a free website - but does not have a smartphone app. "I am a bit suspicious of mobile apps that demand your attention and send you push notifications to get more of your attention," he said.

"I like the idea of doing the opposite of that - what about a game that deliberately doesn't want much of your attention? Wordle is very simple and you can play it in three minutes, and that is all you get.

There are also no ads and I am not doing anything with your data, and that is also quite deliberate."

        I like this guy already!!

@mistertoad Possibly. The wiki page also compares it to a game show called Lingo.
