@terrijay I don't see any words with 18 letters. The most I counted was 16. You play one with all your tiles and then the next player puts all eight of his or her tiles after and there you go, 16 letter unchallenged word.

@terrijay You might not realize this, and that's okay, but a normal person would say thank you for taking the time to try to explain. But I'll get over that, the internet brings in the worst in people and who knows? maybe you are even worse than that anyway. One thing that I will mention however is that I'm pretty sure you're wrong it was a challenge game where neither player challenged. Look at the Moves List. What other logical or even illogical, explanation is there?

@pangloss (and @anyone who cares)... This is a fascinating thread and clearly points to issues that should be of grave concern to all of us. In my own personal opinion, a player who is guilty of crimes against nature like the word-chain MEATYJABWIFE should be cast into the Outer Darkness, where there shall be screaming and gnashing of teeth. (They don't belong with polite company. Instead, they belong in the Hall of Fame devoted to people with creativity and a sense of humor!)
