@betterlate1-0 Isn't that what the 'resign' button can do? End a game?

@mapmakere abort means if something happens and both abort it means no penalty and it is agreeable to both.

@mapmakere Back in Antediluvian times there used to be an Abort option: If both players agreed, the game would be canceled and wouldn't appear as a win or a loss for either player. I imagine that's what BL is wishing still existed.

@thatguythere202 Oh maybe that's it. If we're wishing, I'd wish for an Adjourn button (also from those times).

@thatguythere202 oh! I remember that now. Had players requesting aborts a lot when losing, with no justification. Because they didn't want their ratings going down. And occasionally with really wacky reasons. Usually declined without an explanation.

I thought adjourn was the same thing though..?

@majorwordster No, Adjourn allowed you to put the game on hold 'til both players were back.

@mapmakere Ah, okay, I DO remember that. I hated adjourn. Same as abort, people wanting to adjourn usually had no intention of ever returning and finishing the game, they wanted out of a potential loss. I declined ALL adjourn requests.

@betterlate1-0 And I had the opposite experience, which is why I'd like it as an option (as it was then).
