Getting rid of cheats
-
@terrijay sometimes true, sometimes not. Sound a bit jealous, perhaps improve your game? Because someone knows how to play does not mean cheating no matter what stats say. Maybe if you devoted as much time to learning as you do to suspecting and if you stay at games it does improve.
-
@betterlate1-0 That is great advice betty! You should heed that yourself since you often accuse me of cheating when I win. I have always told you to stop accusing and practice more, and maybe you'll get better too. I am glad you are trying to pass that along to others. I do ask that you follow your own advice.
-
@scantron I don't play you anymore so no concern. As I of ten told you if you did not interfere with my game I did not care what you did. You are your problem and now you are in the forum doing what you do best . As long as i played you you were happy. I stopped playing and there you were on chat insulting and here insulting.Speaks volumes now done responding.

Of course, @terrijay would start a thread like this. like you are not that bright at all to not understand that if you yourself were winning most of your games you would be accused of cheating as well. And you wonder why people block sore losers!

@terrijay
I am sure you are right in saying that some people cheat. I would say that they actually quite insecure and, when they cheat and win, it boosts their low self esteem. And they convince themselves that it's all OK to do this - it's only a game etc etc. But, you know, I myself, juggle the letters about a bit - as well as checking the 'Move Strength'. If I don't get a certain percentage (depending on the game situation) I invariably return to the game on the following day to see if I can improve my move. In other words I see the game as a sort of jigsaw, a sort of interlocking set of pieces that I need to optimise.
So I often get an obscure word by chance. And I do not wish to be called a cheat for doing this. If the powers that be don't like my approach then, by all means remove the 'Move Strength' option and I won't complain.

Also, I can enter them as I did with this now

@mistertoad this has been hacked or i would not be able to enter the above posting. this explains a lot of what has been happening the last couple weeks..bit fishy. For 2 weeks or so I could not make a 3 letter word suddenly it improved yesterday but now this. Someone here should be thrown out and I do not mean you toad

@sakamvari just sent you another email hope you will see it today

@terrijay (and actually @betterlate1-0 and @Mistertoad and @ everyone) it would astonish me if Lexulous was able to institute any kind of reliable anti-cheating measures. Especially given their relatively limited resources. One factor is the wide variety of types of games and players (e-mail; snail's-pace live games; rapidfire timed games, etc.). Another is the fact that one player's "obvious cheat" is another's "how can you be so sure?". I have had people accuse me of certainty with playing at a rate that could not possibly be unaided. All I was doing was thinking up my move during the other player's turn, and typing my letters quickly when my turn came. Other players clobber me consistently because they take the game a lot more seriously and know huge numbers of obscure words (some people actually do play competitive scrabble in real-world tournaments). Good luck on getting any real curbs on cheating put in place!

If I upvote your post will I get criticised for upvoting my own post. Ha ha!

@betterlate1-0 I think you pressed quote instead of reply.

@thatguythere202 Hi Guy don't expect they will find something good for stopping cheating. Old saying, where there is a will there is way. If someone wants to cheat, sadly they will. Much easier than learning to play.

@dan nope who knows?? wacky stuff happens here that might be what I did but I do not know why I would do t?Never done it before. Who knows?

@betterlate1-0 If you are talking about Toads quote...I came in here and there was toads quote in my rectangle. It then allowed me to submit so I did

If you are here in this thread complaining about cheating forget about the low self-esteem of the "cheater". You actually have something in common with the "cheater" you both hate losing.
-
@betterlate1-0 never once did i see @scantron insult you in the forum? Can you please provide screen shots?
-
@betterlate1-0 would be a great idea if you did to back up your accusations. Whilst you are at it take screen shots of my lies that you are constantly bitching on about. It is easy to take a screen shot, if you google it that will help you. This will help with folk fact checking!
