Black Cross?

Does anyone know why there is now an ugly black cross in the center of my gameboard now? Hideous and unnecessary.

I wouldn't go that far lol, but it's the same on the website. Looks like the remaining issue from the Gina-gate saga that needs resolving.

@mapmakere Dan wasn't the one who complained, I was. To me, it's aesthetics. I don't think it fits in with the overall scheme. Pastel colors and soft shapes and this ugly, stark black cross which to me is unnecessary anyway. Maybe put a light blue thin cross if they really think something is needed or how about just shade the square? It's slightly taps on my resentment of web developers. Often they are "improving" things which sometimes just makes things more complicated.

@mapmakere Nothing tbh. I can deal with it. I just assumed it was a bug/glitch/hack etc because it suddenly appeared in place of the regular star during the Gina evening. Might as well fix it if possible.

I think the key question is why would the developers suddenly change the classic star (which has been there since the beginning) to a plus sign? Or did something else happen that was related to the 'hack'? Regardless, a large mathematical symbol in the middle of a word game board looks jarring to me. I'll admit it's not that important considering we only see it for a few seconds.
