Data packets going to porn sites
-
@Pangloss Not sure why it would happen. I assume, and it is only that, an assumption, that Lexulous get paid to allow a variety of websites to send or receive data via their app. Hopefully the developers can explain it before we unintelligible, 2Gb is a huge amount of data...

@betterlate1 Why would I do that?
-
@betterlate1 I sure didn't.
-
@betterlate1 No worries...

Hi Player did you try emptying out your cache to maybe stop it from happening
-
@player_one We've checked and are unable to locate any such malware or activity in our code base. If you continue to see such activity we recommend that you contact Google Play Store directly and share the information you have with them. They will be able to investigate better and provide you or us with additional information that may lead to the source. We would be more than happy to fix if it is from our end indeed.
-
@betterlate1 I did, but I've a feeling it had stopped this behaviour earlier. I'll investigate later when I can get to my other phone and will get back to you. But thanks for your input.
-
@player_one our engineers would need access to your vpn logs and your device to test. At this stage you should contact Google Play Store with your findings in detail. They should have more information.
-
@betterlate1 Yeah sadly it's still happening. Don't know how to attach a screenshot into the forum, but I've just seen another 2 porn sites appear. But clearing the cache was worth a shot, cheers.
-
@lexulous I have reported it to Google Play store, but sadly not had a reply so not sure what else we can do. Uninstalling seems severe, but there's clearly something going wrong somewhere.
It's happening via mobile data and wireless, to 3 devices, so not likely a 'man in the middle' injection and it happens despite the version being run.
Clearing the cache didn't do anything.
Do you have a log of traffic between my devices and the lexulous servers? -
@player_one we do not have such logs. Our team tested from VPNs in different countries and could not replicate this. Sorry we cannot be of further help in this matter. If you have doubts the prudent step would be to uninstall.

@player_one sorry
-
@betterlate1 No worries, we'll get there... Just need to find someone else with tech ability to install a VPN...
Cheers for your input though.
