I HAVE DELETED MANY GAMES

Carny, unfortunately app/phone users can just sit at a table without permission. I type "no thanks" and wait for them to leave. It can be quite annoying but better than the result you get when deleting them all.
@MapmakerE That is what I do. I am very apologetic about it but they have the right to know. I guess it hangs them up for a while too and they have to listen to a bunch of ads. I censor them before the game times out too. From what I understand Lex generates these games for them so they don't necessarily choose us. Not sure if that is true or not but definitely a glitch that should be fixed for everyone's sake.

That's probably what I ought to do too! Normally I just delete the game immediately. Haven't received the "deleted too many games" message... yet!

@MapmakerE Greetings. I usually play via my phone and I am unaware of the permission granted. If I want to join a game that is hosted and waiting for a player, I just click accept and then I am in. Occasionally the person will decline the game (as you did once), but I don't recall getting a "no thanks."
Wondering what your criteria is for playing/not playing someone.
Come to think of it, I guess when I play at my computer I get an "accept/decline" option. On the app I think the only criterion is rating. If I set a window, someone outside cannot play, inside, the game starts upon them accepting it. -
"Game host has recently deleted many games. Cannot start new games for a while."
I have received the above message for the past day when trying to host or join a game. I have indeed recently deleted many games but only because some players here have found a way to join my games without the usual permission granted. How long will this ban last please? Thank you.
@carnybarker To answer your question, this happened to me once. I think it was only for a few hours. Maybe longer, i don't know.

thank you for the responses, everyone.

Does the app only use rating as the main factor for starting a game?

I sincerely apologize for this situation, but I believe it's important for them to be informed. I understand this might cause some frustration and lead to hearing a lot of ads. I do try to censor them before the game times out. From what I've gathered, Lex generates these games for them, so they may not have control over our inclusion. I’m not sure if that's accurate, but it definitely seems like a glitch that needs to be addressed for everyone’s benefit.

@jhon-steve if I don't like the time parameters I won't play. For example a 10-minute game is too long and I think it allows the other person the opportunity to cheat. Not that I'm super paranoid about it but I prefer to avoid it so I play five to seven minute games. Also in the app you can use the slider bar to limit the range of your opponent. I played around 17 to 1800 so I'm not going to accept a game from any of those a-holes that are up in the 2400 range. :)
