disappearing messages within game

My messages can be added then they disappear after leaving the board. I play on an android phone. Is there a fix for this?

Addition to my original post:
I had checked chat was enabled, cleared the cache and reinstalled lexulous but chat still disappeared after refreshing or leaving the board. My opponents posts didn't.
This morning I needed to turn my phone off for another reason and when I looked at lexulous this evening my chat messages didn't disappear. Yay!
