I used to have the game on silent, but it seems to have lapsed and now I cannot find how to silence it again. The noises are extremely distracting, particularly when I am playing a timed game. How do I make it silent again?

Drop down under games..turn sound off..hope that helps..maybe somewhere else but that is all i know of

@Liz-Sharp please go to your setting, there will be an option of background music turn it off

I'm not aware of any background music. It is the annoying sound effects when I put a letter down that I would like to turn off. There is nothing in my settings that stops it. But I have a sense that the noises are not always there. I think they are more frequently present when I play the 'puzzle' mode, and when they really annoyed me was when I played a 'race' game. The email game I have with my friend is fine.
