Turn-based games that are played without time control allow the opponent to make their turn within a period of 14 days.

Beyond that, the game is automatically forfeited.

Lexulous also sends a reminder to the opponent if they have not played in a while.

At the time of joining a hosted game you will see players generally indicate their speed of play via Slow, Medium, Fast. Take note of this before joining the game.

If you have any other suggestions please feel free to comment below.

How long do I have to wait before a game is automatically forfeited? We have each played one turn and then she dropped off the face of the earth over a week ago. Thanks in advance!

@Aydin-Tanal Where is 'force to win' option? I can't find it.

There isn't one as far as I can tell. The game automatically forces the loss for the inactive player after an overgenerous (imho) 14 days.

far as i know, the game will eventually disappear on its own

@lexulous I think that that is far too long a waiting time. A week maximum should be enough. I need to make changes to my settings and I cannot do this while my opponent leaves me hanging for days on end despite me sending nudges.

The original Scrabble game on Facebook gave players 24 hours to make their move, if you nudged your opponent after that and they did not respond within the next 24 hours, they forfeited the game which is preferable in my opinion.

@Chloe-Kennedy I agree...I wish theyd cut it down to a week, and if your opponent hasn't made a move after nudging them, then they should forfeit the game. I can understand maybe letting a day or two go by without making a move, but to sit around for a week (as I'm doing now, actually!) or longer waiting for your opponent to make a move is ridiculous.

I stipulated ‘Fast Game’ and asked players to complete game. My opponent has not played for more than seven days. That is not a Fast Game
