1 minute timeout too short.

Sometimes it takes more time to figure out your first move. Also there is sometimes a little lag - I have had the clock read 19:40 when the board finally appears.

I agree that 1 minute is too short for the first word. I just tried to play with my wife and the came got deleted as I was moving up the final letter of a bingo - very frustrating. If the players agree to more time for the first move, on an informal game, then let them decide on the time for the first move. -
@Wally-Cringan We are considering alternatives. As a stop-gap measure, during informal games please pass the first turn.

@lexulous Thanks, I just completed a game with 3 friends, we all passed on the first round to go into normal timing.

Perhaps, the possibility of a timer setting like 3 minutes initial time with 2 minute increments would allow players to determine their own first move timeout (3 minutes) and still have sufficient time during the remainder of the game.
The largest possible increment is currently 30 seconds, so the initial time has to also accommodate the whole game.
