      Did you know that Aragonese, also known as the Romance language, is native to the Pyrenees valleys of Aragon, Spain? Aragon is a landlocked region in northeastern Spain and it's bisected by the Ebro River, with the Pyrenees Mountains in its north. Aragon's primary source of energy is hydroelectricity, generated by the damming of the Ebro River and its northern affluents in Huesca.

      Like many of Spain's other regions, Aragon has a unique cuisine and rich gastronomic heritage. It’s delicacies include thick stews, packed with both meat and vegetables, asparagus from the banks of the River Ebro, the onions from Fuentes and boiled borage leaves.
      Fiestas del Pilar, Zaragoza and Carnival Bielsa are some of the noted festivals of Aragon, Spain.

      Its natural attractions include such spectacular places as the (ideal for adventure sports in the open air) and the Pyrenean area, the perfect place for skiing in first-rate ski resorts such as Candanchú and Formigal.
