Black Cross?
-
@mapmakere it is not a cross
-
@betterlate1-0 why do you need to contstantly be in need of confrontation? Admin really needs to look at your posts. You are not helpful, just waiting for attention. Constantly.
-
I'm sorry no one has answered your question, @Pangloss. If I knew I would tell you, and if I worked for Lexulous I would find the answer. The black plus sign does indeed seem to be a pointless change, and ugly. The black or gray star (I forget which) was bad enough. If somebody wanted to change it they should have reverted it to the gold star of the older versions.
-
@mapmakere I find it unattractive. Honestly, if you're talking about website or game design it's pretty bad. You have pastel colors and finer points and things and then this thick black cross. It's like a second graders assignment.
-
@pangloss
Agreed. It's bad. I don't know if it's poor taste, or negligence, or incompetence, or what. I also don't know if the developer or developers have seen your comment. They've shown little or no sign of paying attention even if they do happen to read the forum posts, and I've seen no evidence of that. -
@thatguythere202 Yep. In the greater scheme of things (free game, all or most of the game bugs worked out), it matters not a whit to me.

@sakamvari beg to differ, is technically not a cross, only seen it called a cross in last couple years.and only online.
structure, object, or mark formed by two lines that cross each other ; 2 ยท the structure on which Jesus Christ was crucified used as a symbol of Christianity.. If that were technically a cross how would Christ have been crucified?This is a plus sign and says it right next to that one and many others
-
@betterlate1-0 this is a little down-in-the-weeds, but I assume you object to the word "cross" in this case because the two crossed lines are equal in length, as they are in a plus sign. Not that it matters, but as far as I'm concerned the word "cross" applies just as well in this case as it would to a tall or "Latin" cross of the type we are used to seeing in Christian religious imagery. A little research reveals that the equal-length version is called a "Greek" cross. Then again, among the countries that use a cross on their national flag, there are those (including Switzerland) that use the style with equal-length arms. So it seems to me the OP was correct in calling it a cross... or at least, not incorrect

I don't care what it's called, it's crude and ugly when compared to the previous gold star. The most significant thing about this in my book is that the developers either aren't in this forum at all, or they're too lazy or don't have the guts to deal directly with the players and their desires and problems. Or the developers are just not interested, or they expect to be paid for every moment of their engagement and that's not in their contract. The annoyingly boilerplate non-responses of sakamvari are not adequate or satisfying. WHO PUT THE UGLY CROSS OR PLUS SIGN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BOARD, AND WHY? Let's hear from this person, why don't we.
-
@thatguythere202 bitter would object to a crisp packet, why on earth go into any detail with her mentality?
-
@thatguythere202 If a cross is a cross I have no problem with that. There is a car ad now that I cant recall but it tells all about the new features and shows a plus sign every time it tells the newest feature. example: plus a new engine, plus new directionals (kidding about the new features but not the plus. ) The same plus sign some call a cross.

@betterlate1-0 uhoh terri was spouting in lobby and i cant see it so he, she, it had to come here to relieve itself
-
@roymccoy do you pay membership. you are demanding even if you do. Yes it is ugly, but so what? The esthetics displease you? Does it hurt your game? I am not fond of it either but in less than a minute it is gone. Who made your mouth so ugly and did you buy the site? That is the only way I could understand your attitude You said the plus sign is crude. You are more crude. Deal with it

@betterlate1-0
I don't remember why I unblocked you, but no matter.
