A friend has been having this problem for a while now. She can't move tiles in her rack. Otherwise she can play fine.

I suggested she try on a different browser (Chrome) and she said it still happened. (BTW it's a windows machine.)

      Thanks.

@anexparrot Also you can clear your browser's cache memories and retry.

@anexparrot Not sure how she can play fine if she can't move tiles. Anyway, I assume she's trying to drag the tiles to the board? Might sound obvious, but make sure she's double-clicking the tile properly before attempting to move it. Also suggest that she tries the other methods. Click the board once or twice for a direction arrow, then type the word. Enter to submit, escape to recall all tiles, backspace to remove one tile. Or, after the arrow, she can click tiles to place them, and click them again to remove.

Thanks everybody. Oops, I should have made the title clearer:
She can't move tiles in her rack. (I assume she can't drag them around in the rack.)

I'll update here after I talk to her.
