I'd be curious to know when people started playing this game. I remember playing when it was called scrabulous and it was the same format as the famous board game. Probably 2007-08 on the website.
Because of copyright infringement they had to revamp the board and I'll just say they really got it just right. The size of the board and the letter distribution and the location of the increase scoring squares is all great. This is definitely the best word game out there. If anybody replies please mention the year that you joined and any other comments you wish to share.

@pangloss I'd have a hard time dredging up an exact date, but my first Lexulous ID would have been created right back at the time when Literati died on Yahoo Games. That was, what, 2015 or thereabouts? A number of other players in Lex. are also former Literati people so they would have a better idea than I. I lost my old ID during the transition to the new board and can't dig up any old records.

@pangloss It was Lexulous when I first joined, before Literati shut down but I rarely played because I preferred Lit. Then I came here fulltime haha after Lit poofed. I agree it's a decent game.

"Joined in the Scrabulous days too! Started back in 2007, and I totally agree—nothing quite compares. They nailed the board design and letter balance even after the revamp. This game is hands down the best for word lovers!"

I remember playing Scrabulous around the same time—probably 2007 or early 2008—before it had to be rebranded as Lexulous. It was such a great online alternative to the classic board game, and I was really impressed with how they managed to tweak the format while keeping the gameplay just as enjoyable. The board size, letter distribution, and premium square placement feel so well-balanced, making it one of the best word games out there. Been playing on and off ever since! Curious to hear from others—when did you first start playing?

@Lilia They really did a great job with the new board. I can imagine how difficult it would be to get everything right, but I can't imagine it better. The only thing I miss is the Flash version. It was so much better than this kind of unwieldy and awkward platform which I realize are limitations of the software.
