Refresh button in v2?

In v1, there was a button to refresh the board--useful, for example, if waiting for the other player to move and had any notification turned off (if there was one...). Very occasionally the board would refresh by itself, or one could use the browser refresh tool to update the whole page.
I don't see how to refresh on demand in v2 (except via the browser tool), although I again see the occasional automatic (?) refresh.
Is the way this works a feature? or a bug? or am I missing something?Playing on desktop, Firefox browser, Windows 10 Home. E-mail version, with emails turned off.
