I'm playing someone and they asked if I could not play on their "setups." I didn't quite understand what that meant but then the person got more agitated and asked me to stop. I said I could, but why? and was called a jackass.
Does this make any sense at all? Isn't the object to win? Isn't part of winning not allowing your opponent to play various ways or capitalizing on opportunities? BY THE WAY SHE TYPES IN ALL CAPS. I think she's crazy.

@pangloss sounds like this person wanted to play a partners-style game.

@pangloss you might have asked what she meant..instead of a judgment

@betterlate1-0 I asked her why and there was no response. Is that not good enough for you?

@betterlate1-0 and I'm not sure where you're getting this concept of "judgment" from. What's the title of this thread? Did you actually read what I wrote? The reason I posted this is because I'm asking a question. I think you need to rethink about what I have asked.

@thatguythere202 I hear what you're saying, but it's not possible with one-on-one format. And shouldn't the person kind of announce that before even joining a game if that's what they want? That's why I asked those questions - aren't the objectives to use the opportunities and win? I've never in my life had an opponent tell me how I should be playing before this.

@pangloss I went by what you typed. Why not just end the game then if had not started or did not understand?

@betterlate1-0 Like I said, we were playing a game, so yes, the game had started. Resigning gives the win to the opponent. I don't care that much about my score and rating, but I prefer not to hand somebody a win for what I perceive as bad behavior - which is what my question is about. And if you look at my original questions, isn't that the normal way to play a game? Why should I delete a game when somebody has abnormal requests, such as that I allow her to use her "setups." That to me makes no sense and so far nobody has told me otherwise.

@pangloss dont know what your other names are but I have a feeling you did not read what you typed. But, no matter what i said you would have argued it. it is why i debated even responding. Have a great day

@betterlate1-0 I have no idea what you're talking about. I read what you wrote and responded to you and I'm not really sure how somebody cannot read what they typed. It's not as if my hands operate independent of my other faculties. You may be confusing me with somebody else, because this is the only name I post under. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@betterlate1-0 Just a thought - if you want to contribute to a conversation, why don't you, you know, actually contribute? I asked some specific questions (which I read) and you have zero input on them. Take a look at my original post, look at the questions again and why don't you provide your two cents rather than get into all this other nonsense? Just curious if you're able to do that. I can see why you have been downvoted so many times. But do what you want ,I'm sure you will think I'm attacking you.

@pangloss no, I agree. You're totally right, winning is (or should be) the point of games as they are normally set up. Didn't mean to suggest you ought to reset your whole style of play for their benefit. I prefer to think of such people as, not necessarily demented, but misguided .. 😉

@pangloss betterlate is being obtuse here, sorry betterlate. No one has any business asking you to not play on their “setups”
