More Complaints About the New Version

I believe there has likely been too much concern with "making it better" and trying to please as many of the suggestion-makers as possible. If it's π³π¦π’πππΊ a ππ°π΅ better or solves some π’π€π΅πΆπ’π problem, okay, but if it ain't broke, really, please don't fix it. "Recall" isn't an improvement over "Undo", for example β I've mentioned this before. Please revert to "Undo". Also, it's unclear as to how much you actually had/have to change, particularly since the old format still seems to be working as before. I get it back by having a macro change

to
https://www.lexulous.com/email/playboard?gid=[number of game]&pid=1&lang=UK .
Is there some merely π’π―π΅πͺπ€πͺπ±π’π΅π¦π₯ change that actually requires a total overhaul? Even if there is, it doesn't justify changing the whole setup unnecessarily. A minimum of actually necessary changes would suffice.
The abbreviation buttons, for instance, are of no use to the general player and are simply an annoyance taking up space on the screen. I invite other people in the forum who don't like or use them to request their removal. I mean, again: Is moving a mouse to a chosen button and clicking on it really easier than typing e.g. "gg"? I not only don't believe this, I find it unimaginable. If these buttons typed out "Good game." or "Nice one!" they might have some justification as shortcuts, but as it is they don't and I wouldn't want them even if they did.
I still have nearly all the complaints I've registered via email. You did get rid of the alternation between shuffling and alphabetic ordering with the shuffle button, thank you, and I do appreciate the ability to order alphabetically, but what happened was that a wide tooltip started coming up when the cursor was over the shuffle button, completely covering the tiles and thus forcing me to turn off tooltips.
The discrepancy between the shapes of the tiles at the bottom and on the board is still a bit offensive (make them all square again, please, if you can't round their corners on the board β if it ain't broke don't fix it), and the black arrow is still ugly. Please revert to the old one. Moreover, the ugly black arrow doesn't move with the arrow keys anymore, which is a major loss.
What you've done, I think, is stick yourselves with the necessity of maintaining two formats, a "classic" or "traditional" one alongside the new one. This wouldn't have been necessary if you hadn't gone overboard with the changes, and it may not be necessary now if you sufficiently restore the prior format (nice green arrow that moves with the arrow keys, no superfluous and annoying shortcut buttons, tiles that look the same on the board and at the bottom, etc.). Thank you.

Okay: I hate the bold blue blank letters that aren't even the same size as the others. I want the normal-weight red ones back, which were perfectly fine and I'm sure nobody complained about them. One of the "improvers" ran riot and implemented his/her preference on this, and it ticks me off. That's how I really feel. Thanks for asking.

@roymccoy OK, the aesthetics of the tile shape and colour of the arrow are a matter of opinion, they don't affect the play of the game or solve some 'actual problem.' Yet you want them changed, despite asking them not to change anything unless it 'solves some actual problem.'

Of the tile π΄π©π’π±π¦π΄. There's one on the rack and a different one on the board. That's what I'm objecting to, not to any particular π΄π©π’π±π¦. As a matter of fact I've stated that I ππͺπ¬π¦ the rounded corners. They need to figure out how to get them on the board also, however, if they want to change the shape.
and colour of the arrow
It's not just the color. Its form is ugly too. Again, I would like to see either the prior complaints about the rounded green one (they want rounded tiles, why not the rounded arrow?), or a satisfactory explanation of why the ugly new arrow was really necessary. I'm not expecting to see either, and in their absence I again request a reversion to the old arrow.

Stop trying to modify the useless new version. Give us back the Lex we want to play against. Or at least change your slogan. Lex is no longer the fun word game you love to play. I keep trying to adjust, but really, when Lex makes my life harder than it needs to be, I'm ready to give up. Plus, I pay for Pro and get ads upon opening and booted off all the time. Can't even comprehend that someone has be paid to make such a mess of a beautiful thing...
