Score thermometer question

I was playing a friend and he hadn't noticed the score thermometer. It sounded like perhaps it wasn't appearing for him. Does the score thermometer work with all common browsers? (I asked, and he was using Safari on a computer.)

@mirandas, no one who is using the previous version of the game will have one (so far as i know).

@jrp32 I should add that my friend said he didn't see it in a recent live game. I don't think you can still play live games with the previous version?

@anexparrot Be specific in describing it. On his turn, tell him to lay a valid word down on the board without submitting it. Then ask him to look at the right hand side of the green play button, then hover over it with the cursor.
