"Fast game"?
-
Hello all. Greetings from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US. I'm curious what people think fast game means? And I'm not talking about timed games, I'm referring to playing on my phone. I think a fast game should be relatively quick between moves, say one to two minutes, five at the most. I just joined two "fast games" and one player moved immediately and now it's been an hour, the other not at all.
Just curious that's all.
Thanks. -
@pangloss, I have always thought it to mean that a person intended to stay with the game onscreen until it was finished as opposed to medium where the opponent would not be tied to the screen but check it a few times daily, or slow, where the opponent might check the game weekly or somesuch.....
IF i played a game as FAST, i would think i should agree before hand with opponent on time between moves -- that is timed, but informally. -

Thanks.Hi Pangloss, in the future you might want to clarify that you're talking about email games. In my experience those speed 'ratings' have no meaning whatsoever. Some people who have posted 'fast' games play once a day.

@anexparrot Hi annexparrot, in the future you might not want to mansplain things unnecessarily. You may call that an email game but I don't. I'm using it on my phone and it's not timed. I get no emails related to the game rather I get a push notification and I open the app.
And as far as the rest of your comment, you don't seem to understand my question. People who play games they call fast but only play once a day to me is not fast. I'm asking what people think fast means. You telling me what others do doesn't really answer that question does it? -

Maybe your reality is different, but what you were describing are called on the website EMAIL GAMES.
I was trying to be helpful regardless of how you view it, but no worries, this is the last reply you will receive from me about anything.
