Why does session timeout so quickly?
-
@thatguythere202 I'm talking about https://www.lexulous.com/v2/stats.
-
@dan the site you mention for checking stats is the one I go to to view my game record. I get there by clickinng the "Games" tab in the box that pops up when I click my name in the player list. It automatically opens a new tab inside my browser and leaves the lobby/game tab open next to it. Is this how you do it?
-
@thatguythere202 No, I prefer to go to the stats dropdown top right and then 'my stats'. Don't think it really matters. If the session's timed out, you'll have to log in again. The only upside to all this is as long as you stay in the actual game room, it doesn't kick you out.
-
@dan I think it does make a difference, at least to this extent: When you follow the procedure you've outlined, it opens up the stats in the same browser window. You can get back to the game room with the Back button, but from what you folks are saying I get the impression that login times out rather quickly. Following my procedure, I can stay in the stats section as long as I like, and the game room (along with my game table, if any) will stay open in the other browser tab; no need to log back in.
-
BUT (this just happened to me) it does seem that logging in again is taking longer. When your opponent decamps right after the game without responding to your Rematch request, you are left hanging and have to reload the whole site. That's not new; but just now it took me longer to get back in than I have become used to.

@thatguythere202 I use middle click so it always opens in a new tab anyway.

It is. That is the main reason why having to relog in has become annoying to me. it used to be just a click and it was done. Now it is 10 or more seconds...... -
@dan ah ok.
-
@dan I just tried it. I don't have a middle button, but I used right-click and the Stats page opened, not in a new tab, but in a separate iteration of my browser. When I do it my way it's the same browser, different tab. I wonder if that makes a difference in terms of how long Lex will keep your original room login active.
