@mistertoad Yes, I can see the list of games but it now says "14 days to go" whereas it used to give the time since the last player moved which I found much more helpful. For example if it said 4 or 5 minutes, I knew they would probably still be playing, but if it was an hour I could bet they have left the game and gone off to do something else. My most regular opponent is a relative who lives some distance from me, so we use this as a way to play and chat.

You have a point, but on the other hand once one knew the notes were private, or if one correctly assumed they were from the beginning, the constantly seen "private" would be superfluous and annoying.

Already similarly annoying now is the rather lame yet constantly repeated joke "Scribble", and the lack of consistency over the three panes. If the three-point ellipsis isn't necessary after "Type a word here" in the Dictionary pane, it isn't necessary after "Type notes here" (distinctly preferable to "Scribble notes here") in the Tools pane either. Furthermore, "Type reply here" should be restored to the Chat pane as in the prior version. Thus:

Chat: Type reply here
Dictionary: Type a word here
Tools: Type notes here

The only reason I can imagine for the deletion of "Type reply here" in the Chat pane of the new version is that some bright person thought, "Aha, but the first chat text isn't a reply!" and so deleted the line entirely. Better – and presumably still doable – would be to program it so that "Enter chat text here" changed to "Enter reply here" following the first entry.

Not that there's much chance of this simple corrective enhancement being implemented, though I would enjoy being proved wrong.

@roymccoy do have to agree with you about one thing. I never see the blank at the end of the game until I have used up all the other letters. A discreet outline would be great or maybe the tile could be different color from other tiles to stand out on the rack

I too would prefer that the arrows worked, but that's a separate consideration and may be dealt with elsewhere. Whatever your preference and whatever you think about preferences, the topic of this thread is "Why the Black Arrow Is Ugly" and the matter has not been resolved by your comments. I have yet to be provided with any indication that the green arrow with its black outline ever presented a problem to anyone, or that for some reason it could not be restored in the current version. I fully appreciate that people have other concerns, and I share many of these.

@davewillwin You can simply click on the 'Unseen tiles' from the top right side of the board to check all the leftover tiles and you can go to the last word played from the top left side of the board to check the strengths and scores of each word played.

@rayger I'm just another user, but a lot of the stats seem just wrong. I remember seeing somebody whose own stats contradicted each other.
(I think 'avg bingos in a game' was higher than 'most bingos ever')
