If they're not going to add a basic option to disable it (such as they did for sounds, numbered board etc), then they should save the confetti graphics for when you, and you alone, have actually won the game. Bingos aren't uncommon or particularly special, so I'd rather not have a party in my face every time I get one. And why should it also appear when our opponent gets one? It's their bingo, so let them experience the confetti if they want, but not the person who's just conceded one.
Perhaps this is why my account was suddenly disabled. The developer who added it was like 'You don't like my new confetti animation? You have the audacity to complain about it in the forum? Well, now you no longer have to experience it; bye-bye!'.
